GEOSYNTHETICS
Engineered ground. Non-woven certainty.
Taltex manufactures needle-punched staple-fibre non-woven geotextiles from 100 to 1200 g/m², in roll widths up to 6 metres. Integrated production at Ain Oussera, Djelfa.
Separation and filtration under a road platform
APPLICATIONS
Seven functions, six fields
Every site calls on a different combination of the seven functions, and that combination sets the grammage. These are the six fields where our geotextiles are specified.

Roads and sub-base
Separation between subgrade and granular layer.

Filtration and drainage
Filter around drains and drainage bodies.

Erosion control
Underlay beneath rip-rap and revetments.

Landfill and containment
Geomembrane protection.

Reinforcement and retaining walls
Reinforced soil walls and embankments on soft ground.

Hydraulic works
Canals, basins and reservoirs.
RANGE
Our geosynthetics range
Our geosynthetics range is manufactured in-house at our Ain Oussera plant, with the exception of geonets which are supplied to complete comprehensive site specifications.
MANUFACTURING
From fibre bale to finished roll
Two continuous lines, six stages. The non-woven structure is formed mechanically by needle punching, with no chemical binder.

01
Fibre preparation
Staple fibre bales are opened, blended and dosed. The blend determines how consistent the grammage is across the full width.
02
Carding
The card separates the fibres into individual filaments and forms a thin oriented web. Product homogeneity is decided here.
03
Cross-lapping
The cross-lapper lays the web in crossed layers across the full width. The number of passes sets the target grammage and balances strength in both directions.
04
Needle punching
Thousands of barbed needles pass through the batt and entangle the fibres. The bond is purely mechanical, with no binder and no solvent.
05
Thermal finishing
Calendering stabilises thickness and dimensions, and fixes the hydraulic characteristics of the product.
06
Winding
The batt is slit to the ordered width and wound. Every roll carries a label bearing its batch number.
QUALITY
Checked at every stage, traceable back to the fibre lot
Our quality system is aligned with ISO 9001. Tests are run in house, on samples drawn per batch, to the applicable EN ISO standards.
In-house laboratory
Grammage, thickness, tensile strength, CBR puncture and permeability are measured on site, at a defined frequency per production batch.
Full traceability
Every roll carries a batch number linking the label to the shift, the crew, the fibre lot and the test results.
Incoming inspection
Incoming fibre is inspected and recorded before it enters production. A non-conforming lot does not reach the line.
